Two years of platelet counts while on chemotherapy

Temodar cycle 21 starts next Monday and my platelets are at the highest they have ever been during chemotherapy. That is amazing. (See chart.)

I remembered thinking that after taking Temodar this long my body would be weaker than when I started. However, I seem to be tolerating the months of this dosage just fine. I am grateful my body is receptive to this drug because I know it does not work for everyone the same way.

I am glad I stuck it out and didn't stop after 12 months, 16 months, or 18 months. I am in this for the long haul (24 months).

Update from 2026: in the end, I ended up having a recurrence in 2021 and 2022. I ended up doing another six months of Temodar. — Liz
